Media representatives the emerging industry acclaim as capacity effective transport system, however there no clear scientific evidence proving that. A theoretical investigation therefore necessary understand which could safely provide. This paper provides comparative analysis that can offer for several operational scenarios different signalling systems, including Moving-Block advanced Virtual Coupling. Results show achieve required only if pods use deceleration rates likely unsafe uncomfortable passengers. Coupling instead observed more satisfactory provide higher while respecting safety comfort standards reliable platooning technologies are available.
